Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines for playing Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the Vampireslayer film. She also played Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of the same nameErica Paget in the CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Born in California, Swanson began her interest in acting when she was an infant. The path she took to become an actor began with commercials, in which she starred in several commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance on screen in an episode of NBC's sitcom It's Your Turn. The following year, in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan made her first appearance on the big screen. Swan, known for her stunning voice and a blonde hairdo, has played various roles on the side in the past few years. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
