April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in seventh grade. This sparked her interest. When she was 12 years old, April wrote her first song Different. At the age of 14 April was a big devotee of her day singing and writing songs. Then, she began to take trips to NY and LA along with her dad in order for them both compose songs. April began to include various other topics relevant to the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has her own fan base and is an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. As a woman born with no left hand, the woman is an important part of her. But it's not her entire story. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not shy away from her status as disabled and does not make a point of it. The profile is a statement. that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and that we're much beyond our physical bodies. It's not my intention to let that determine me. I do not want to be a disability influencer where it's the only thing I talk about because there are so many other aspects to my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. My everyday life isn't dependent on it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find myself solutions for problems. But it's also a part of me and I feel it's essential to discuss. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women with regards to acceptance of oneself. However, she admits to going through phases of being uncomfortable with her physique and being uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which showed her arms. It's her choice to wear what she wants, and she happily shares pictures of her in these outfits. One of the keys to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a goal. It's true for all, no matter what their level of insecurity. I believe that it's really essential to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
